What is GVEF?  The Golden Valley Educational Foundation (GVEF) is a 501(c)3 nonprofit created to raise money for Golden Valley Charter School campuses, GV Orchard and GV River, both located in Orangevale, CA. Our mission is to nourish and strengthen the curriculum inspired by Waldorf education at GVCS by raising funds that directly supplement the GVCS budget. GVEF grants the money we raise directly to the schools and the GVCS Board of Trustees determines how the money is spent.     Our fundraising supports many things, including: — Waldorf-certified teacher training — specialty programs, such as music, gardening, handwork and foreign language(s) — class field trip funds — classroom supplies, such as paints, beeswax, main lesson books, yarns, and more — the rent we pay to San Juan Unified School district     Over the years, our annual fundraising efforts have included:  — Annual Giving Campaign (AGC) outreach & support — Our Fall Eagle Chase jog-a-thon — Spring Art Auction — Summer Fireworks Booth
