Orange County Rescue Mission

Homeless
When you donate a car to Orange County Rescue Mission you provide for needy individuals who are struggling to survive. More than a physical structure, the Mission is a gateway for men, women and children to receive assistance in the areas of guidance, counseling, education, job training, shelter, food, clothing, health care and independent living. Though we may think of Orange County as a place of wealth and comfort, there are many, many people battling economic hardship leading to physical and emotional distress. At the heart of this Christian nonprofit, the Mission is following the Biblical mandate to care for “the least of these.” Your vehicle donation to the Orange County Rescue Mission makes you a part of this service – to share the love of Jesus with those who have fallen on hard times. It’s about more than just the mounting societal problems associated with underemployment and homelessness in the city. This charity is caring for individuals in pain, offering programs such as Hope Family Housing and Hurtt Family Health Clinic. At Village of Hope, the Rescue Mission offers spiritual support to individuals while also providing transitional and emergency housing for up to 262 homeless residents. The Village of Hope has the Trinity Law Clinic, a service where people receive help with legal obstacles that contribute to their poverty and self-sufficiency. There is also a 6,000-square-foot Parenting Center, where kids take part in age-appropriate activities and after-school tutoring. A car, truck or SUV donation to the Orange County Rescue Mission contributes to this amazing charity’s work in the community, seeking to stabilize the homes of children who lack necessary resources.
How to Donate a Car to Orange County Rescue Mission With more than 30 years of experience, Cars2Charities has the expertise in making vehicle donations easier than ever. Cars2Charities is designed to provide donors with a simple, fast, and secure way to donate their vehicles to Orange County Rescue Mission. In most cases, we accept all makes, models, and types of vehicles. While car and truck donations are our most popular type of donations, we also accept motorcycles, golf carts, and motorhomes. Step 1: Preparing for the Process You’ll start the process of donating your car to Orange County Rescue Mission by collecting the vehicle’s cleared Certificate of Title and Registration. If you have misplaced your title or registration, don’t worry! We can help. Please find your vehicle’s identification number (VIN) and together we can determine which supplementary paperwork you will need to complete at the time of pick up.  Step 2: Scheduling Your Pickup  Give us a call at (855) 520-2100, or complete an online donation request. Our friendly donation coordinators will gather your vehicles information, and together, we will decide the most convenient time, date, and location for the pickup. Then we will send you an email that gives you step by step instructions to prepare you for the pick-up. Before arriving, our tow truck driver will call you one hour before to give you time to collect paperwork and prepare the vehicle for towing. At the time of the pick-up, make sure your title is signed and clear of any lien holdings. You will hand over the title and registration to the tow truck driver.  Step 3: Maximizing the Donation We take the reins at this point to maximize the donation for both our donors and charities. We do this by assessing the vehicle and adding value to increase the selling price of the car. It’s a situation many people dream about – a successful way to support a cause you care about without the work involved.  Benefits of Donating to Orange County Rescue Mission By donating, you can share your passion for change and draw attention to what you consider important. In return, you receive a maximized ax deduction, and the comfort of knowing your donation sparked change and amelioration. Charities are not the only ones who benefit. By donating a car to Orange County Rescue Mission, you’re part of a win/win proposition since vehicle donations to Orange County Rescue Mission are considered by the Internal Revenue Service and the State to be COMPLETELY TAX DEDUCTIBLE.  Our value-enhancing services allow you to deduct the full sale price off your vehicle as a donation. We operate with full transparency between donor and Orange County Rescue Mission by making sure everyone has a copy of the IRS regulated paperwork — including the IRS Form 1098-C which you will receive within 30 days after the sale of your car. Both you and Orange County Rescue Mission will receive IRS Form 1098-C within 30-50 days of the sale of your vehicle, making the transaction transparent to all parties. Plus, we do all the work. There’s no standing in lines at the DMV or dealing with the paperwork to transfer the title.  Need some more info?
