Union Rescue Mission Donation
A car donation to Union Rescue Mission provides relief and resources to individuals having trouble finding their way. Men, women and children need a place to lay their heads, and they also need nourishment for their souls. You can play a part in taking care of their needs. Even if you don’t live in a big city, you see people living on the street, wondering where their next meal will come from. The homeless in Los Angeles have hope, thanks to Union Rescue Mission. They take care of physical needs while offering individuals dignity and spiritual growth through a variety of programs. When you donate a vehicle to Union Rescue Mission you provide assistance that ranges from emergency services to life-transforming ministry. Clients receive food and shelter, but they also get to experience growth in their relationship with Jesus Christ through programs from Christian Life Discipleship to Biblical 12-Step groups. Perhaps you’ve joined millions of people in wanting to take care of the growing problem of homelessness in Southern California. One of the issues is the range of mental illness that’s common among homeless individuals. According to the National Alliance on Mental Illness, or NAMI, approximately one in five Americans suffers from a mental illness. Those with the most serious diagnoses, such as the 1.5 million people with schizophrenia, are often found on the street. You send resources directly to people on the streets of Los Angeles through a car, truck or SUV donation to Union Rescue Mission. While you solve your need for new transportation, you’re helping people with a different set of problems. Staff and volunteers at the nonprofit are more qualified than your average American to help the homeless because they’ve worked with the population in downtown L.A. since 1893!
