Our Story & Mission

Thirty-six years ago, Dean and Prayeri Harrison founded Out of Africa Wildlife Park with a heartfelt mission: to rescue animals in need and provide them with a better, more fulfilling life. Guided by this vision, our sanctuary is dedicated to ensuring the health, safety, and well-being of every animal in our care.

We offer a safe haven where animals can thrive in spacious environments designed to mimic their natural habitats, allowing them to experience a sense of freedom. With proper nutrition, expert medical care, and a focus on their emotional well-being, we are committed to creating a nurturing space for these incredible creatures.

Through education, research, and active community engagement, we strive to inspire a deeper connection to the natural world. By fostering this connection, we encourage stewardship of wildlife and wild spaces.
Out of Africa Wildlife Sanctuary, our 501(c)(3) organization, was established for this very purpose: to ensure the continued care of the animals, promote coexistence and conservation between humans and wildlife, and to ensure that future generations have the opportunity to experience the beauty and the wonders of wildlife firsthand.

Car Donations Help Out of Africa Wildlife Sanctuary, Inc.

When you donate your car to support Out of Africa Wildlife Sanctuary, it is not just an old vehicle being hauled away. The vehicle is transformed into vital funding for rescued animals. Here is how it works: your donated car is picked up at no cost to you, sold at auction or for parts, and the proceeds go to the sanctuary. That money helps feed the animals, maintain habitats, and provide medical care for exotic wildlife that can not survive in the wild. So, while your car might not roam the roads anymore, it helps lions, tigers, and other incredible creatures keep roaming safely at Out of Africa.
